Xiaomi Pad 9 May Launch Soon With Snapdragon 8 Series Chipset And Large Battery

Xiaomi is reportedly preparing a new tablet with a powerful processor, bigger battery, and fast charging support, aiming to offer improved performance and entertainment features for users.

Xiaomi appears to be working on its next premium tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 9, which has started creating buzz ahead of its expected launch. According to early leaks, the upcoming tablet could arrive with a Snapdragon 8 series processor, a large 9,720mAh battery, and support for 45W wired fast charging.

The tablet was reportedly spotted on China’s 3C certification platform with the model number M656BA. Tipster Digital Chat Station has suggested that Xiaomi may introduce the Pad 9 alongside the Xiaomi 18 smartphone series in China. However, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the launch timeline or specifications of the upcoming tablet.

The Xiaomi Pad 9 is expected to focus on performance and long battery life. The device may feature an octa core Snapdragon 8 series chipset, which could deliver smoother multitasking, gaming, and AI based operations. The addition of a nearly 10,000mAh battery could make it suitable for users who need extended usage without frequent charging.

Before the arrival of Pad 9, Xiaomi introduced the Xiaomi Pad 8 in India in March. The existing tablet comes with an 11.2 inch 3.2K display featuring a 3200 x 2136 pixel resolution, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and 800 nits peak brightness. The screen also supports Dolby Vision and HDR10 content for an enhanced viewing experience.

The Xiaomi Pad 8 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor paired with Adreno 825 GPU. It operates on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and includes several AI powered tools designed to improve productivity and everyday usage.

For photography, the Xiaomi Pad 8 features a 13 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and an 8 megapixel front camera for video calls and online meetings. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type C port. The tablet also comes with sensors such as an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor.

Powering the Xiaomi Pad 8 is a 9,200mAh battery with support for 45W Turbo Charging. The device measures 251.22 x 173.42 x 5.75mm and weighs around 485 grams.

With the expected improvements in battery capacity and processing power, Xiaomi Pad 9 could become a strong competitor in the premium tablet segment if the leaked specifications turn out to be accurate. More details about pricing, availability, and official launch plans are expected once Xiaomi makes an announcement.
