Snake Enters School Hostel Bites Four Sleeping Girls One Dies

A venomous snake entered a residential school hostel in Jharkhand, biting four girls while they slept, leaving one dead and three others undergoing treatment at hospitals.

A tragic incident unfolded at a residential school in Jharkhand after a venomous snake entered a girls hostel during the night and bit four students while they were asleep. One of the girls died, while the remaining three are receiving medical treatment.

The incident occurred at Sansira Higher Secondary Residential School under the Kuru Police Station limits in Lohardaga district. According to officials, the snake entered a hostel room late at night and attacked the girls as they slept.

Other students in the hostel noticed the incident and immediately alerted the teachers. The injured girls were rushed to the Sadar Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite medical efforts, a 12 year old girl identified as Varsha Oraon succumbed to the snake bite.

One of the injured students, 14 year old Manisha Kumari, is undergoing treatment at the Sadar Hospital. Two other girls, 11 year old Phulmania Oraon and 11 year old Anisa Kumari, were shifted to Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences after their condition was reported to be critical.

The incident triggered panic among students and staff at the hostel. Family members of the affected girls rushed to the hospital after receiving the news and expressed deep concern over the incident.

Police officers also reached the hospital and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the snake bite incident. Authorities are examining how the snake entered the hostel and whether additional safety measures are needed to prevent similar incidents in the future.
