Pova 8 Launches With Massive 8000mAh Battery and Smart Rear Display

The newly launched Pova 8 combines an 8000mAh battery, smooth 144Hz display, durable design, customizable rear notification panel, and powerful performance at a competitive price point.

The smartphone market has welcomed another battery focused device with the launch of the Pova 8 in India. Designed for users who prioritize long battery life, smooth performance, and eye catching design, the new smartphone arrives as the successor to the previous generation model and brings several notable upgrades.

One of the standout features of the Pova 8 is its enormous 8000mAh battery, which is among the largest capacities available in its segment. According to the company, the battery can deliver up to 1200 hours of standby time on a single charge. For users who spend long hours on calls, streaming videos, or browsing content, the device promises extended usage without frequent charging interruptions.

The large battery is paired with 45W fast charging support, allowing users to quickly power up the device when needed. The company claims the smartphone can provide up to 39.5 hours of calling time and nearly 18 hours of video playback, making it an attractive option for heavy smartphone users.

Beyond battery performance, the Pova 8 introduces a unique design element on its rear panel. The device features a customizable Alive Matrix Display that lights up for incoming calls, notifications, and other alerts. This interactive rear display adds a futuristic touch while also serving a practical purpose by keeping users informed without constantly checking the main screen.

The smartphone is available in three distinct color options including White, Orange, and Green. Its bold design language and illuminated rear panel help it stand out in a crowded market where many devices often look similar.

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor built on a 6nm architecture. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS storage, offering a responsive experience for multitasking, gaming, and daily usage. The device is available in multiple memory configurations, giving buyers flexibility based on their storage and performance requirements.

To support extended gaming sessions, the smartphone includes a large cooling system designed to keep temperatures under control during intensive tasks. This feature is expected to appeal to gamers who demand stable performance over long periods.

The display is another major highlight. The Pova 8 sports a 6.76 inch Full HD Plus screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate helps deliver smoother scrolling, improved gaming visuals, and a more fluid overall user experience. The screen also offers high brightness levels and a strong screen to body ratio, enhancing both indoor and outdoor viewing experiences.

Photography capabilities have also received attention. The rear camera setup is led by a 50MP Sony sensor designed to capture detailed images in various lighting conditions. On the front, users get a 13MP camera for selfies and video calls. The camera software includes several features such as AI photography modes, portrait effects, night mode, slow motion recording, dual video capture, and vlog tools.

Durability is another area where the smartphone aims to impress. The company says the device comes with military grade certification, indicating resistance to accidental drops and challenging conditions. It also carries an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water splashes, providing extra confidence for everyday use.

Running on Android 16 based software, the Pova 8 offers a modern user interface and access to the latest platform features. The device weighs 225 grams, reflecting the inclusion of its large battery and robust internal hardware.

In terms of pricing, the smartphone enters the market with an aggressive strategy. The base variant featuring 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 29,999, while the higher configuration with 8GB RAM is available at Rs 31,999. Sales are scheduled to begin from June 18 through online retail channels.

With its combination of exceptional battery life, premium display specifications, durable construction, and distinctive rear notification display, the Pova 8 is positioned as a compelling choice for users seeking a feature packed smartphone that can comfortably last through extended usage without constant charging.
