CM DK Shivakumar Announces 6 Major ‘Bumper Gifts’ for Karnataka
CM DK Shivakumar has made several important announcements, including a free bus pass for students, the transfer of B-Khata to A-Khata, and recruitment for government jobs.
DK Shivakumar, who took the oath as the new Chief Minister of the state, has given a bumper gift to the people of the state by announcing six new declarations. Following his takeover as CM, the people of the state were expecting some sort of bumper gift.
Accordingly, CM DK Shivakumar has made several important announcements, including a free bus pass for students, the transfer of B-Khata to A-Khata, and recruitment for government jobs. Speaking at a press conference after holding his first cabinet meeting post taking the oath as the new CM of the state, CM DK Shivakumar delivered good news after good news to the people.
He mentioned that people used to say free bus service was provided only to women until now. But moving forward, he announced that a free bus pass facility will be available for all male and female school and college students across the state.
He stated that 56,000 government posts need to be filled in the state, and the government will take measures in this regard. A system called ‘Yuva Udyoga Setu’ is being implemented to connect youth seeking jobs in the private sector with the recruitment demands of private companies, and Kannadigas will be given first priority in this.
Furthermore, D.K. Shivakumar announced that the system of transferring B-Khata to A-Khata, which is currently limited only to Bengaluru, will be extended across the entire state. He said that the campaign to provide A-Khata documents to unauthorized buildings will be expanded state-wide.
“Leadership qualities must develop among the youth of our state. In this regard, I intend to establish the ‘Bharat Jodo Youth Association’ starting from the Gram Panchayat level. In this manner, 10,000 youth associations should be formed across the state. A government grant of ₹10 lakh will be provided to each association,” he announced.
Focusing also on improving the roads of the state capital, Bengaluru, the new CM D.K. Shivakumar informed in the press conference that ₹2,000 crore would be allocated just to improve roads, including those under GBA and BDA limits.
CM D.K. Shivakumar also mentioned that there is an electricity issue in Bengaluru city, and it has been decided to grant a one-time exemption from obtaining OC (Occupancy Certificate) and CC (Commencement Certificate) for residential buildings constructed on 2500 sq. ft. plots.
