According to the listing, the Oppo Reno 16 will be offered in Galaxy Purple, Heartbeat, and Moonlight Dark color variants. The smartphone will arrive in multiple storage models including 12GB RAM with 256GB storage, 12GB with 512GB storage, 16GB with 256GB storage, 16GB with 512GB storage, and a top end 16GB RAM with 1TB storage version.
Oppo has confirmed that the Reno 16 series will officially launch in China on May 25. Alongside the smartphones, the company is also expected to introduce the Oppo Pad 6 tablet and the Oppo Enco Air 5s true wireless earbuds during the same event.
The company has also shared teaser images on Weibo, revealing the design of the upcoming smartphones. The Oppo Reno 16 series appears to feature a flat rear panel with a square shaped rear camera module that houses a triple camera setup along with an LED flash and Reno branding. The overall design follows a premium and minimalist approach that has become increasingly popular in modern smartphones.
The teaser images suggest the smartphone will include a flat metal frame for a more premium in hand feel. The power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side, while an additional button appears on the left edge of the device. The bottom section includes a USB Type C port placed between the speaker grille and SIM tray.
Oppo may also include dual antenna bands on both sides of the smartphone to improve wireless connectivity performance. A secondary microphone is expected at the top, which could help with noise reduction during calls and video recording.
Although the company has not officially confirmed complete hardware specifications yet, industry reports suggest the Reno 16 Pro could be positioned in the premium smartphone category. Reports indicate the device may launch at a price close to CNY 4000, which roughly converts to around Rs 56000 in India.
The Reno series has traditionally focused on combining stylish design with camera focused features and smooth performance. With the Reno 16 lineup, Oppo appears to be continuing the same strategy by offering multiple storage options, premium finishes, and upgraded design elements aimed at younger users and photography enthusiasts.
As the launch date approaches, more information regarding the display, processor, battery, and camera specifications is expected to surface. The early teasers and listings have already created anticipation among buyers who are waiting for Oppo’s next premium smartphone release.
