Xiaomi Mijia Strong Air AC Launch Promises Fast Cooling and Smart Efficiency for Modern Homes

Xiaomi introduces its new Mijia Strong Air Super 1.5 HP air conditioner featuring ultra fast cooling in 15 seconds, heating in 30 seconds, AI smart control, and energy efficient performance for extreme conditions

Xiaomi has expanded its home appliance lineup with the launch of the Mijia Strong Air Super 1.5 HP air conditioner in China, a product designed to deliver rapid temperature control along with smart connected features. The company is positioning it as a high performance cooling solution for users who want instant comfort even in extreme weather conditions.

One of the biggest highlights of this new AC is its speed. Xiaomi claims it can cool a room in just 15 seconds and switch to heating within 30 seconds. This is made possible through a dual cylinder compressor system paired with an advanced airflow design that pushes up to 900 cubic meters of air per hour, ensuring quick and even distribution across the room.

The AC is powered by a 13cc dual cylinder compressor that improves low frequency stability and reduces noise levels during operation. It also includes a dual row copper evaporator and condenser system with a significantly larger heat exchange area, which helps improve overall efficiency and performance consistency.

In terms of design and airflow engineering, Xiaomi has added a 118mm large fan along with dual air deflectors. The system supports both canopy style cooling to avoid direct harsh airflow and carpet style heating that spreads warmth evenly from the ground up. These enhancements aim to create a more natural and comfortable indoor environment.

Smart functionality plays a major role in this air conditioner. It runs on HyperOS Connect and integrates with Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem. Users can control it through voice commands, receive OTA updates, and access AI based system diagnostics through cloud connectivity. The AC also supports self cleaning functions and high temperature sterilization up to 58 degrees Celsius for improved hygiene.

Energy efficiency has also been given strong attention. Xiaomi claims the unit is capable of operating in extreme temperatures, handling cooling even at 55 degrees Celsius and heating at minus 15 degrees Celsius. It carries a high efficiency rating with an APF value of 6.01 and uses an energy saving algorithm that can reduce annual electricity consumption by around 344 kWh.

The Mijia Strong Air Super 1.5 HP AC has been priced at 2699 yuan, which is approximately 36900 rupees. It will go on sale in China through JD.com starting April 28. However, Xiaomi has not yet confirmed any timeline for its availability in global or Indian markets, leaving buyers outside China waiting for further updates.
