Pakistan based JeM launches online jihadi course for women, charging Rs 156

Hyderabad/Islamabad, : The Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has launched an online jihadi course targeting women through its female wing, Jamaat-ul-Momineen, charging a nominal fee of PKR 500 (approx. Rs 156).

The course, named “Tufat al-Momineen,” is designed to recruit women for the group and raise funds for its operations. The program will be conducted online by Masood Azhar’s family members, bypassing Pakistan’s social restrictions to expand the group’s terrorist activities.

JeM, already designated a global terrorist organization by the UN, is strengthening its female wing through this initiative. The online classes are scheduled to start on November 8, with Masood Azhar’s sisters, Sadia Azhar and Samaira Azhar, taking leading roles. They will conduct 40-minute daily lectures, teaching women about jihad and Islamic duties, with the aim of encouraging enrollment into Jamaat-ul-Momineen.

Sadia Azhar, the younger sister of Masood Azhar, has been given full responsibility for the women’s wing. Her husband, Yusuf Azhar, was killed during “Operation Sindhur”, an Indian Air Force strike on JeM’s Balakot headquarters last May, conducted in retaliation for a militant attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir.

Reports also indicate that Afreen Farooq, wife of Umar Farooq, a militant involved in the Pahalgam attack, is part of the training cadre for this women-focused program.

This development highlights JeM’s continued efforts to expand its recruitment and radicalization efforts online, particularly targeting women, despite international scrutiny and counter-terrorism measures.
