Vivo S60 Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of China Launch

Vivo S60 is expected to arrive with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 7200mAh battery, 90W fast charging, premium design, advanced cooling system and Android 16 based software experience.

Vivo is preparing to launch its new Vivo S60 smartphone in China later this week, and fresh benchmark listings have now revealed several important details about the upcoming device. The smartphone is expected to succeed the Vivo S50, which was introduced last year, and early leaks suggest that Vivo is focusing heavily on performance, battery life and premium design upgrades this time.

According to a recent Geekbench listing, a Vivo smartphone carrying the model number V2571A has appeared online, and reports strongly indicate that this device could be the Vivo S60. The benchmark scores reveal that the smartphone achieved 1960 points in the single core test and 5194 points in the multi core test, hinting at flagship level performance for its segment.

The listing also suggests that the smartphone may be powered by Qualcommโ€™s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. The octa core chipset reportedly includes one prime core clocked at 3.01GHz, four performance cores running at 2.80GHz and three efficiency cores operating at 2.02GHz. The phone is also expected to feature the Adreno 735 GPU for graphics processing, which could help deliver smoother gaming and multimedia performance.

Vivo has reportedly equipped the S60 with up to 16GB RAM, making it suitable for multitasking and heavy applications. The smartphone may run on Android 16 based OriginOS 6, offering the latest software features and a refreshed user experience.

Battery performance appears to be one of the strongest highlights of the Vivo S60. Vivo product manager Han Boxiao recently revealed that the smartphone will feature a massive 7200mAh Blue Ocean battery. The company is also expected to include its advanced thermal management technology to keep temperatures under control during gaming and extended usage sessions. In addition, the smartphone may support 90W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge the large battery much faster.

The Vivo S60 is also expected to offer a premium physical design. Reports suggest that the smartphone will come with a flat rear panel and a rectangular dual camera module accompanied by an LED flash. Vivo branding is positioned at the center of the rear side, while the device is said to feature a cold curved glass finish for a more stylish and comfortable in hand feel. The power button and volume controls are placed on the right side of the handset.

For security, Vivo may include a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which is generally considered faster and more reliable than traditional optical sensors. The smartphone is also expected to feature a dual speaker setup for an improved multimedia experience.

Alongside the Vivo S60, reports indicate that Vivo could soon introduce its next foldable smartphone as well. The upcoming Vivo X Fold 6 is rumored to feature a slim and lightweight body along with a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. Leaks suggest that the foldable device may come with a large 8.02 inch 2K inner display protected by ultra thin glass technology and a 6.51 inch outer screen.

With launch day approaching, Vivo appears ready to strengthen its premium smartphone portfolio with devices focused on performance, battery efficiency and modern design. The Vivo S60, in particular, could attract buyers looking for flagship like specifications without stepping into the ultra premium category.
