Vivo S2 FE India Launch May Bring 10000mAh Battery

Vivo appears to be preparing another smartphone for the Indian market, with the Vivo S2 FE expected to arrive alongside the Vivo V80. Leaked information has already revealed several possible specifications of the upcoming device, including a very large battery that could become one of its main attractions.

According to details shared by tipster Ahsan Kharbai on X, the Vivo S2 FE could feature a 10000mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging. If this information is accurate, the phone would be aimed at users who place a high priority on battery endurance and regular heavy usage.

The smartphone could also be positioned below Rs 40000 in India. Vivo has not officially confirmed the price, so the final cost and available configurations are expected to be revealed closer to the launch.

The display is another area where the Vivo S2 FE could offer strong specifications. The phone is expected to feature a 6.83 inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and supported animations appear smoother during everyday use.

Under the hood, the smartphone could use the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e 5G chipset. The processor belongs to MediaTeks Dimensity family and is expected to provide 5G connectivity along with enough performance for regular applications, entertainment and demanding mobile tasks.

Camera specifications have also surfaced through the leak. The Vivo S2 FE is expected to use a dual camera arrangement on the rear. The main sensor could be a 50MP Sony IMX852 camera, accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor.

For selfies and video calls, the smartphone may feature a 32MP front camera. The camera is expected to sit inside a centrally positioned hole punch cutout on the display.

Leaked images provide some clues about the physical design as well. The Vivo S2 FE appears to have a square shaped camera module on the back, with two cameras and an LED flash arranged inside the housing. The power button and volume controls are expected to be positioned on the right side.

A USB Type C port is expected at the bottom of the handset. The phone could also include an in display fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

The reported battery capacity stands out because a 10000mAh cell is considerably larger than what is commonly seen in many smartphones. Combined with 44W wired charging, the setup could appeal to people who spend long hours watching videos, using social media, navigating or playing games.

Vivo could introduce the S2 FE around the same time as the Vivo V80 in India. The Vivo V80 is scheduled to launch in the country on October 6, according to the supplied information.

The V80 itself is expected to sit in a higher segment and could feature a different hardware package. It is tipped to include a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and a 7200mAh battery, along with a 6.59 inch 1.5K OLED display.

The Vivo V80 display is also expected to support a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5000 nits of peak brightness. On the software side, it could run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

Photography is another area of focus for the V80. The smartphone is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera. It is also tipped to arrive in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue and Stellar Black colour options.

The Vivo V80 is expected to replace the Vivo V70, which was launched in February this year. This gives Vivo an opportunity to expand its smartphone lineup with different models aimed at different price segments.

For the Vivo S2 FE, however, the large battery could become the main talking point. A 10000mAh capacity combined with a high refresh rate AMOLED display and 5G connectivity would give the phone a specification mix focused heavily on endurance and everyday entertainment.

Several details about the S2 FE remain unconfirmed, including the exact launch date, price, RAM and storage configurations. Vivo has also not officially announced the complete specifications of the device.

If the leaked details prove accurate, the Vivo S2 FE could arrive as a battery focused smartphone with a large AMOLED screen, MediaTek 5G hardware and a capable primary camera. More information is expected as Vivo prepares for its upcoming Indian smartphone launches.
