Xiaomi 18 Pro Launches With 200MP Cameras and 7000mAh Battery

Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi 18 Pro in China as part of its latest flagship smartphone lineup. The new model brings a combination of high resolution cameras, a large battery and flagship hardware, with the company also adding a secondary display on the rear.

The camera system is one of the biggest talking points of the Xiaomi 18 Pro. The phone has two 200 megapixel cameras on the back, including a primary sensor and a periscope telephoto camera. A 50 megapixel ultrawide camera completes the rear setup, while a 50 megapixel sensor is provided on the front.

The primary rear camera uses an f/1.67 aperture and optical image stabilisation. The 200 megapixel periscope telephoto camera also gets OIS and has an f/2.4 aperture. The ultrawide camera has an f/2.4 aperture and a 102 degree field of view.

Battery capacity is another major highlight. Xiaomi has equipped the 18 Pro with a 7000mAh battery, which supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The phone also supports 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to provide power to compatible accessories and other devices.

Performance comes from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, paired with an Adreno GPU. The phone can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and as much as 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Xiaomi is offering several storage configurations in China. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at CNY 5999, which is approximately Rs 86000 based on the supplied conversion.

The 12GB RAM and 512GB model costs CNY 6999, equivalent to around Rs 100000. The 16GB RAM and 512GB configuration is priced at CNY 7999, while the 16GB RAM and 1TB version costs CNY 8999.
