Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2026 Set To Showcase New Foldables Smartwatches And AI Features

Samsung is all set to host its annual Galaxy Unpacked event today, where the company is expected to introduce its latest generation of foldable smartphones, smartwatches and artificial intelligence powered features. As one of Samsung’s biggest product launches each year, the event is likely to highlight the future direction of the Galaxy ecosystem with several premium devices.

The event will be hosted from London and viewers in India can watch the live presentation from 6.30 PM IST. Samsung will stream the event free of charge through its official website, YouTube channel, Newsroom and social media platforms, allowing fans around the world to follow every announcement in real time.

Among the biggest expected launches is the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is rumored to arrive with a slimmer and lighter design than its predecessor. Reports suggest the device could feature a large 8 inch foldable AMOLED display along with a 6.5 inch cover screen. It is also expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and storage options reaching 512GB. The phone may include a 4800mAh battery, Android 16 based One UI 9, 25W fast charging, Galaxy AI features and S Pen support. A 200 megapixel primary camera along with ultrawide and telephoto sensors is also expected.

Samsung may also introduce the premium Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which is expected to become the flagship foldable in the lineup. Leaks indicate that the Ultra model could feature an even thinner design, a larger Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and up to 16GB of RAM. Camera improvements are also anticipated, including a flagship 200 megapixel sensor, an upgraded periscope telephoto camera and enhanced AI powered image processing.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is another major device likely to be announced during the event. Reports suggest it will feature a 6.9 inch foldable AMOLED display along with a larger 4.1 inch cover screen, allowing users to access notifications, apps and camera controls without opening the phone. The device is expected to include the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy chipset, 12GB RAM, storage options up to 512GB and a battery capacity of around 4300mAh. Camera hardware may include a 50 megapixel main sensor and a 12 megapixel ultrawide lens, while Galaxy AI features, an improved hinge and IP48 protection are also expected.

Samsung is also likely to refresh its smartwatch lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. The Galaxy Watch 9 is expected to offer upgraded health and fitness tracking, a brighter Super AMOLED display protected by Sapphire Crystal Glass and improved battery life. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is rumored to target outdoor enthusiasts with a titanium body, rugged construction, larger battery and advanced GPS capabilities. Health features could include heart rate monitoring, ECG, blood oxygen tracking, sleep analysis, body composition measurement and enhanced sports tracking.

Artificial intelligence is expected to play a central role throughout the event. Samsung is likely to demonstrate new Galaxy AI features designed to improve productivity, photography, communication and everyday smartphone experiences.
