RailOne App Crosses 4.76 Crore Downloads as Railway Services Move to One Platform

RailOne App has crossed 4.76 crore downloads, giving passengers easier access to ticket booking, PNR checks, train information, platform tickets and RailMadad services.

The Indian Railways digital service RailOne is gaining strong traction among passengers. As of August 2, 2026, the app had recorded more than 4.76 crore downloads, while daily ticket bookings were averaging close to 10 lakh.

The growing numbers suggest that more passengers are choosing their phones for routine railway services instead of relying on station counters or multiple separate platforms.

Around 10 lakh tickets booked every day

Ticket booking accounts for a significant share of RailOne usage. Data shows that approximately 2.79 lakh reserved tickets and about 7.24 lakh unreserved tickets are booked through the app every day.

Together, the figures come close to 10 lakh bookings a day. For regular travellers, this can make a noticeable difference, particularly when booking tickets at busy railway stations.

Reserved, unreserved and platform tickets

One of RailOne’s useful features is the ability to handle both reserved and unreserved journeys. Passengers can book seats for long distance travel as well as unreserved tickets for general journeys through the same platform.

The app also supports platform ticket bookings. This gives passengers another option when they need to enter a station to receive or see off someone.

PNR and train information in one place

RailOne is not limited to ticket purchases. Passengers can check PNR status and access information related to their train and journey through the app.

Its journey planning feature also brings travel related information together, which can be useful for passengers who prefer managing their trip from a single screen.

RailMadad is also integrated

Railway assistance is another part of the RailOne experience. The app includes RailMadad, allowing passengers to seek help or raise complaints related to their railway journey.

Having this option within the same application means travellers do not necessarily have to switch between different platforms when they need assistance.

Single login reduces the need for multiple apps

RailOne also uses Single Sign On, allowing users to access several railway services through one login. This approach reduces the need to maintain multiple railway applications and separate login details.

For passengers, the larger idea is fairly simple. Instead of searching for a different app for every railway requirement, several commonly used services are being brought together under one platform.

The 4.76 crore download milestone, along with nearly 10 lakh daily ticket bookings, shows how quickly railway services are moving towards mobile based access. As more passengers shift routine tasks to their phones, apps such as RailOne could become an increasingly important part of everyday train travel.
