Moto G Max Sale Price Offers and Features
Motorola is opening sales for the Moto G Max in India today, giving buyers another option in the segment with a large battery and a high refresh rate display. The first sale is scheduled for August 20 at 12 noon through Flipkart.
The phone comes in a single configuration with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Its listed price is 27,999 rupees, while launch benefits can bring the effective cost down for eligible buyers. Customers using select Axis Bank or ICICI Bank credit cards can receive an instant discount of 1,000 rupees. An additional 1,000 rupee exchange bonus is also available under the launch offer.
The Moto G Max is available in Pantone Alaskan Blue, Pantone Malaga and Pantone Stargazer colour options.
Large display with 120Hz refresh rate
The smartphone features a 6.72 inch Full HD Plus LCD panel with a 1080 by 2400 pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and the same 120Hz touch sampling rate. Motorola has also rated the display for up to 1050 nits of peak brightness under HBM conditions.
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection is included, while the display has a pixel density of 391ppi. For everyday scrolling and compatible gaming, the higher refresh rate should make movement on the screen feel smoother.
Snapdragon chip and Android 16
Under the hood, the Moto G Max uses the 4nm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor. It is paired with 6GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Motorola also includes its RAM Boost feature, allowing part of the internal storage to work as virtual RAM.
The phone runs on Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI. The company has promised two Android OS upgrades along with three years of security updates.
50MP main camera and 32MP selfie camera
Photography is handled by a dual camera setup on the rear. The main sensor is a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It is joined by an 8MP ultra wide angle camera offering a 119.5 degree field of view.
For selfies and video calls, the handset has a 32MP front camera. The combination gives the phone a reasonably versatile camera setup for everyday photography.
7000mAh battery is the big attraction
The standout feature is the 7000mAh battery, which is considerably larger than what is commonly found in many phones in this price range. It supports 30W TurboPower charging, and Motorola claims the phone can deliver up to 63 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The handset weighs around 213 grams and measures 166.23 by 76.50 by 8.60mm.
Built for everyday durability
The Moto G Max supports dual SIM 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS. It also retains a 3.5mm headphone jack and uses a USB Type C port for charging and connectivity.
Motorola has given the phone an IP64 rating for resistance against dust and water. It also meets MIL STD 810H durability standards. A side mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock are included for device security.
For buyers considering the phone at launch, the combination of a 7000mAh battery, 120Hz display and introductory discounts could make the first sale worth checking, particularly for users who prioritise battery life.
