Karbonn ZenZ Pro Spotted on Geekbench With Android 16 and 6GB RAM

Karbonn ZenZ Pro has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, putting the Indian smartphone brand back in the spotlight. The company has not officially confirmed the device yet, but the listing gives a few early clues about what could be its next budget offering.

The biggest talking point is the software. The smartphone is listed with Android 16, suggesting Karbonn could introduce the device with a relatively new version of Android if it eventually reaches the market. The listing also mentions 6GB of RAM, which should give the phone enough memory for everyday tasks and commonly used apps.

The Geekbench entry points to an octa core MediaTek chipset. The processor configuration includes two cores running at 2.00GHz and six cores clocked at 1.70GHz. The graphics side appears to be handled by a Mali G52 MC2 GPU. Based on these specifications, the ZenZ Pro appears to be aimed at the entry level or budget segment rather than competing with more powerful mid range phones.

Performance numbers from the benchmark are also available. The Karbonn ZenZ Pro reportedly recorded a single core score of 422 and a multi core score of 1,525. These figures suggest that the phone could be designed around basic smartphone needs such as messaging, browsing, social media and everyday applications.

What makes the listing more interesting is the Karbonn name itself. The brand once had a noticeable presence in India’s affordable mobile phone market, particularly among buyers looking for reasonably priced devices. A new smartphone could give the company another opportunity to connect with customers in a segment that remains highly competitive.

Karbonn was established in 2009 as a joint venture involving Jaina Group and UTL Group. A return to the smartphone segment could therefore be an interesting development for the Indian budget market.

The ZenZ Pro listing should still be treated as an early indication rather than a confirmed launch. Karbonn has not announced the smartphone officially, so more details about its specifications, pricing and availability will need to emerge before its market position becomes clear.

The appearance on Geekbench does, however, suggest that Karbonn could be preparing something new. If the company manages to combine a competitive price with useful hardware and current software, the ZenZ Pro could attract attention when it eventually arrives.
