Apple May Raise iPhone Prices in India by September
Apple could revise iPhone prices in India around September, with a new leak suggesting existing and upcoming models may become significantly more expensive after the iPhone 18 Pro launch.

The expected iPhone price increase has not happened yet, despite earlier reports suggesting Apple would revise prices by August 10. A new update from tipster Yogesh Brar now points towards September as a more likely period for a possible change.
According to the latest claim, Apple could introduce revised pricing around September 8, which is also expected to be close to the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro series. The reported increase could affect both existing and new iPhone models.
The possible hike is being estimated at around 100 dollars, which works out to roughly Rs 10000. However, Apple has not officially confirmed any price revision for India, so the reported figure should be treated as an expectation rather than confirmed pricing.
Yogesh Brar also questioned earlier reports about an August price increase. He claimed that Apple does not normally inform distributors about price changes several weeks in advance, suggesting that some of the earlier reports may have been premature.
Current iPhone prices remain unchanged
For now, Apple India has not changed the listed prices of its current iPhone lineup. The iPhone 17 starts at Rs 82900 in India, while the iPhone 17 Pro starts at Rs 134900.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max currently begins at Rs 149900. Buyers looking for a lower priced option can consider the iPhone 17e, which starts at Rs 64900.
This means customers planning to buy an iPhone do not currently have to pay the reported higher prices. The situation could change if Apple decides to revise its pricing after the upcoming product launch.
Japan has already seen an increase
Japan is currently the market where Apple has reportedly changed iPhone prices. Reports indicate that the iPhone 17 received an increase of around 10 percent, while the iPhone 17 Pro became approximately 8.3 percent more expensive.
The reasons behind the Japanese price revision remain a matter of discussion. Rising memory and component costs have been mentioned, while currency movement and the weaker Japanese yen have also been suggested as possible factors.
If similar cost pressures affect other markets, Apple could potentially adjust prices elsewhere, although there is no official confirmation that India will follow the same pattern.
