Bharti Airtel’s newly introduced priority network service has come under government scrutiny, with regulators examining whether the feature complies with India’s net neutrality principles. The discussion centers around Airtel’s recently launched 5G network slicing based service designed for postpaid users. The company claims the feature offers a more stable and reliable internet experience by reserving a dedicated portion of the network for premium customers. However, questions are now being raised about whether this preferential treatment could affect internet quality for other subscribers, especially prepaid users.
