Street dog attacks and rabies deaths are on the rise in Kerala. Recently, six people, including four children, were bitten by stray dogs in the state. The incident took place in Kozhikode and Palakkad. Three people, including two children, were attacked by a streets dog in Kozhikode’s Arakkinar. The victims were Nooras (12), Vaiga (12) and Sajuddin (44).

Two children narrowly escape from a pack of stray dogs in Kerala’s Kannur. According to reports, the incident took place on September 8 near a saw mill on Plathottam Road when the boys were on their way to a barber shop. A boy who narrowly escaped said that around 15 dogs were chasing him.

In CCTV footage shared by news agency ANI, the boys ran to a nearby house and closed the gate to protect themselves from the dogs. Later the dogs left the place. This video was shared by news agency ANI.

People around Kannur are shocked as the video of dogs attacking two boys is going viral on social media. It has reached such a state that people can’t move freely even at night and during the day. On the one hand, the menace of streets dogs and on the other, people have died due to dog attacks, has put the state government in dire straits.

The menace of street dogs is increasing in Kerala and people have to walk in fear. Minister M. B. Rajesh himself has admitted the menace of stray dogs in Kerala. Manorama reported that he also promised to formulate a plan to end the menace of street dogs.
