The people have gone mad due to continuous heavy rainfall in Karnataka and the India Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be heavy rainfall in the next two months. IMD issued heavy rainfall alert in Karnataka for next 2 month. A surface-to-surface cyclone is blowing in the Bay of Bengal and its intensity has increased. So this year there has been record rainfall.
221 mm of rain was expected in September, but till date 271 mm has rained. More rainfall is expected in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department expects 98 cm of rainfall from January to December 31 every year. But this year from June to September it has rained more than 100 cm. Weather department expert A Prasad has informed that there will be heavy rainfall in October, November and December in the coming months.
The main reason for the heavy rainfall in Karnataka this year is the change in climate and the shear zone. This type of rain occurs when the shear zone is high above sea level. Shear zone is where high winds blow from 11 degree latitude above sea level to the east direction. Meanwhile, at low latitudes, there is a westerly wind blowing at a speed of 9 or 8 in the westerly zone.
If this surface cyclone comes, it will rain for four to five days. As a result, it is raining more in garden City. This year rainfall has broken the record of last 10 years. Earlier in 2017, the rainfall was 247 mm. But this year there has been an excess of 500 mm of rain and there will be more rain. It has been predicted that there will be heavy rain in Bengaluru for the next 5 days.

IMD issued heavy rainfall alert and Orange alert has been issued today for Uttada Kannada and Udupi districts and yellow alert for tomorrow. A yellow alert has been issued for Belagavi in northern hinterland. A yellow alert has been issued for Shivamogga, Hassan and Chikkamagaluru districts in the southern hinterland, while there will be no alert for Bengaluru today.
