Weather Report: Due to the prevalent severe heat waves conditions in the state, the Patna district administration in Bihar has restricted all academic activities till June 28 up to Class 12. The District Magistrate has issued a notice to shut all academic institutions till June 28. Weather Report: All education institution closed till June 28.

In a letter, Patna DM said that prevalent high temperatures with high humidity in the district could prove risky for children. In the order issued by the District Magistrate Chandrashekhar, it has been said that in view of the scorching heat in the capital Patna, there will be a ban on teaching and learning in all schools from pre-school, Anganwadi center to class 12th.

This order will come into effect from June 26 and will be effective till June 28. This order of the District Magistrate will have to be implemented by the headmasters of all the schools in the district. Here, on June 29, Bakrid is a government holiday. Due to this, a decision will be taken on the opening of the schools on Friday, 30 June.

In response, under the CrPC of section 144, the administration has prohibited all academic activities of private, government schools till class 12th, Anganwadi, Pre-school. The order will come into effect from Monday, June 26, 2023. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued an alert for thunderstorms and heavy spells of rain in several parts of Odisha in the next three hours.

As per the latest bulletin, the alert has been issued for the districts of Dhenkanal, Angul, Balasore, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Khordha (including Bhubaneswar), Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sonepur, Nuapada, and Bolangir.

“Light to moderate rain/thundershowers with one or two intense/heavy spells of rain likely to affect some parts of districts of Odisha within the next three hours,” read the IMD’s advisory. The heavy rainfall could attribute to waterlogging in low-lying areas, poor visibility, and traffic disruption in urban areas, the advisory added.
