Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that no new guidelines have been issued for Christmas and New Year celebrations, as precautionary measures are the only way to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 JN.1 virus, a clone of Covid-19.

The government will follow the advice given by the Technical Advisory Committee regarding Covid-19. The suggestions given by the technical advisory committee will be followed in the coming days’, he said. The death toll in Bangalore has risen to three. Guidelines issued by the State Government:

People above 60 years of age, suffering from kidney, heart, liver problems, pregnant and lactating women should wear masks and avoid visiting closed, poorly ventilated places and crowded places.
