IPL 2024: RCB may pick KL Rahul on Mini Auction
RCB is gearing up for mini-auction under the new head coach, Zimbabwe legend Andy Flower. Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is ready to release the players who are a burden to the team, has already prepared the list of players to be released.
IPL 2024: IPL most fans following franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are gearing up for the IPL 2024 season. The Bengaluru franchise, which has already started cleaning the team, is preparing plans for the IPL 2024 mini-auction to be held in December this year.
The mini-auction is gearing up under the new head coach, Zimbabwe legend Andy Flower. Royal Challengers Bangalore, which is ready to release the players who are a burden to the team, has already prepared the list of players to be released.
Along with Dinesh Karthik, who failed miserably last season, they are ready to let go of players like Shehbaz Ahmed, Suyash Prabhudesai, Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazelwood, Finn Allen and Akash Deep. The team is making strategies to take the required players in their positions. RCB’s lower order is particularly weak.
There are no backup players either. The team depends on Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell. The failure of the Indian players in the team is hurting the team’s chances of success. In this order, it seems that RCB has keep eye on three players. Team India is looking to bring in veteran wicketkeeper KL Rahul as well as Aussie star pacers Pat Cummins and Ravi Bishnoi.
Sai Sudarshan and Sandeep Sharma have been kept as backup for these three. KL Rahul is currently the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. In the middle of the IPL 2023 season, Rahul missed the team due to injury. Along with his poor form and injury Lucknow Super Giants face big trouble on last season. In this order, they may leave him in the auction.
If that happens, KL Rahul will available for auction, RCB will not let him go. They will purchase KL Rahul place of Dinesh Karthik. If KL Rahul is not available then will focus on getting Sai Sudarshan. Pat Cummins is likely to enter the ring this time auction.

All the franchises will compete if he comes in the auction. There is a possibility that RCB will be interested in buying Cummins even if they pay a huge price. As Wanindu Hasaranga is failing as a specialist spinner, RCB is hoping to replace him with Ravi Bishnoi.
