Ration Card Holders: E-KYC is mandatory for ration card holders to get the facility under Anna Bhagya Yojana. If e-KYC is not done, there is a possibility that such ration card will be cancelled. So don’t forget to update e-KYC of your family members on your ration card before August 31st.

Ration Card Holders: If you not do this by August 31, your card will be cancelled

BPL, APL ration card holders, if they visit their nearest food department or ration shop, the Aadhaar number will be biometrically linked to the ration card instantly. If you don’t do e-KYC by August 31, you won’t even get ration. The card will also be cancelled.

Anna Bhagya money should also be e-KYC:

Still under the Anna Bhagya Yojana as a guarantee scheme of the state government, money is being deposited in the account of the family owner of the ration card in lieu of additional 5 kg of rice. Deposits have also started this month. If you have not done e-KYC, your bank account will not be linked to the ration card, so the money will not be deposited.

The government of Karnataka has initiated the Anna Bhagya Scheme to provide financial assistance to families living below the poverty line. Karnataka has started directly transferring benefits to people through the Anna Bhagya Scheme. Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Rs.170 for 5 kilograms of rice through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

To check the Karnataka Ration Card DBT status and to make sure the payment has been credited to their bank account, individuals can visit the official website of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department, Karnataka, at https://ahara.kar.nic.in/ and enter their Ration Card (RC) number.

The Karnataka state government has introduced a scheme called “Anna Bhagya” to provide financial assistance to approximately 1.28 crore ration card holders in Below Poverty Line (BPL) families.

Under this scheme, eligible beneficiaries receive Rs.170 per month through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to purchase five kilograms of rice. Nearly 99% of these beneficiaries have already linked their Aadhaar Card with their ration cards, enabling them to receive the scheme’s benefits directly into their bank accounts.
