Former Team India opener Robin Uthappa express his opinion and has said Kannadiga KL Rahul should be left out of the team and keep place to wicket keeper batsman Ishan Kissan in the remaining matches of the Asia Cup tournament 2023 in order to instill confidence in Ishan Kishan in the ODI World Cup 2023. Tournament to be held in India from October 5 to November 19.

He also said that Experienced player KL Rahul was left out of the team due to a minor injury problem during the opening 2 matches of the Asia Cup tournament. Rahul is available for the high-voltage Super 4 match against Pakistan on Sunday (September 10) at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, while young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan is in danger form of losing his place in the playing XI.

Robin Uthappa said that Ishan Kishan, who not only saved the team from trouble with an impressive 82 runs in the league match of the Asia Cup 2023 against Pakistan, but also set record of 4 consecutive ODI fifties, should be played in the remaining matches of the Asia Cup tournament as well.
