The central government Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), which was being providing financial support for the care, treatment and medicine expenses of pregnant women and Lactating Mothers, has been suspended for the last one and a half years due to technical reasons.
Matru Vandana Yojana software is integrated with Mission Shakti 2.O software and old data is not available in the new software. It is understood that due to this technical problem, the scheme money is not available to the beneficiaries. This scheme is brought for women. All this money goes directly to women’s accounts.
A total of Rs 5,000 will be given in installments. First installment Rs 1,000, second installment Rs 2,000, third installment Rs 2,000. Rs 1,000 was given in three installments if a girl or a boy was born in the first delivery, 2,000 after six months and 2,000 after 14 weeks of delivery.

The Anganwadi workers went to the houses and submitted the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana application through online. However, from August 15, 2023, the CDPO department has to register itself in the supervisor login. Therefore, the documents sent by the beneficiaries through WhatsApp have to be printed and submitted to the office, which is becoming a burden.

Under the scheme, when pregnancy is confirmed, the first installment is Rs. 1,000, after 8 months, the second installment is Rs. 2,000, after delivery, the third installment is Rs. 2,000. is given. This assistance is given in the form of nutritious food, medicine and treatment.
