According to a statement released by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), a reserve day has been added to India's Super-4 match against Pakistan.

If the match on September 10 is canceled due to rain, it is decided to continue the match on September 11. In such event, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets. It will remain valid the next day as well. The reserve will be utilized for the day,” the ACC release said.

If this match is held on Monday due to rain, the Indian team will not get rest for the next match. Because the match between India and Sri Lanka will be held on Tuesday, September 12.

World Cup 2023: ICC announced 16 umpires- 4 Referees named including two Indians

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has named the squad of umpires and referees for the upcoming ODI World Cup mega event. A total of 20 match officials have been named and two Indians have been appointed. There are 16 umpires and four match referees. India’s Nitin Menon is on the list of umpires and Javagal Srinath from Kannadigas is on the list of referees.

12 elite panel umpires will work for the World Cup 2023. They are Christopher Gaffney (New Zealand), Kumar Dharmasena (Sri Lanka), Marais Erasmus (South Africa), Michael Gough (England), Nitin Menon (India), Paul Reiffel (Australia), Richard Illingworth (England), Richard Kettleborough (England). Rodney Tucker (Australia), Joel Wilson (WestIndies), Ehsan Raza (Pakistan), and Adrian Holdstock (South Africa).

The remaining four belong to the ICC Emerging Umpire Panel. They include Sharfuddaula Ibne Shahid (Bangladesh), Paul Wilson (Australia), Alex Wharf (England) and Chris Brown (New Zealand). Three of the four who officiated in the 2019 ODI World Cup final match will also officiate this time. They are Kumar Dharmasena, Marais Erasmus and Rodney Tucker. Another umpire, Aleem Dar, walked out of the ICC Elite Panel last March.

World Cup 2023 Four official referees:

Emirates ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees Jeff Crowe (New Zealand), Andy Pycroft (Zimbabwe), Richie Richardson (West Indies) and Javagal Srinath (India) will work as referees in the ODI World Cup.
