IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in Karnataka for next 6 days

India meteorological department has given a forecast of rain in many places today. Drizzle has continued to fall in many parts of the state since last one week. IMD expected heavy rainfall alert for next 6 days in Karnataka.

The Karnataka experienced heavy rainfall rains in the month of July and was neutral only in the month of August. But in the beginning of September, only a few districts received drizzle, and now after a week, most of the places are experiencing occasional rainfall. IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in Karnataka for next 6 days.

Sunny weather continues in some places. On the other hand, the India meteorological department has given a forecast of rain in many places today. Drizzle has continued to fall in many parts of the state since last one week and today (September 09) is likely to rain in most of the districts of the state.

Yellow alert has been announced in coastal districts, Kodagu, chikkamagaluru as there will be thundershowers in some districts. It has been raining frequently in the coastal districts since last one week. Information is available that it rained in Udupi last night (September 08).

Also, the India Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in many districts of the state, including the state capital Bengaluru, till September 15, for 6 days from today. A yellow alert has been announced for the coastal districts today.

It has also predicted heavy rain in Kodagu, Bidar, Chikkamagaluru and Kalaburagi. The information has available that there is a high chance of raining in the state’s south and north places. Heavy rain is expected in coastal Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada and Udupi districts.

On Friday, there was more rain in these districts and heavy rain is expected today too, as a precautionary measure yellow alert has been announced in these three districts. Moderate rainfall is expected in the north interior districts of Bagalkote, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapur, Yadgiri. Apart from this, it has been informed that there will be thundershowers in some districts of northern hinterland.

South interior districts such as Bellary, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru City, Chamaraja Nagar, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Tumkur, Vijayanagar districts are likely to receive moderate rainfall. And heavy rainfall is expected in Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru districts.
