BREAKING: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin admitted to hospital

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, has been hospitalised on Thursday, 14 July. He has been admitted to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai for “investigation and observation” for COVID-19-related symptoms.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had said: “I was a bit tired today. After testing, it was confirmed that I am positive for COVID-19 and I have isolated. Let’s all wear masks, get vaccinated and stay safe. Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and leaders have wished him a speedy recovery.

Over the last few days the Chief Minister was seen without wearing mask in photographs the government had shared. On the 11th and 12th, Mr Stalin had attended a wedding and met a group including Dravidar Kazhagam leader K Veeramani. A few days ago – on the 8th and 9th – Mr Stalin attended government programmes in Tiruvannamalai district without wearing a mask despite the presence of large number of people there.
