For the empowerment of girl child, the central government is running many schemes including Beti Bachao or Beti Padao. One of them is this “CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Scheme”. Under this scheme, the government is giving a scholarship of 12 thousand to the parents who have only one girl child.Parents of girl child, the central government is giving  12,000 per annum; check details.

Most of the girls are deprived of education in economically backward families who cannot get proper education. So the government is running this scheme with the aim of avoiding this. So, if you are also a parent of a girl child, you will benefit from this scheme.

This is implemented by the central government, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) selects candidates based on merit and gives scholarship.

How is the student stipend distributed?

The number of scholarships for a particular year is variable and one girl child of a family who has secured 60% or more marks is awarded.

Eligibility criteria..!

For every girl child who has secured 60% or more marks in CBSE 10th examination and studying 11th and 12th in a school affiliated to CBSE, her tuition fee is Rs. 1,500 per month during the academic year.
