RSS Ban Proposal: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Hits Back at Priyank Kharge, Calls It Anti-Hindu Policy

RSS Ban Proposal: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has strongly criticized Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge’s letter recommending a ban on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activities in government spaces. Speaking in Bankapur, Shiggaon taluk, Joshi said such proposals have come and gone, but the RSS has endured for over a century with growing public support.

Joshi reminded that even leaders like Rahul Gandhi’s grandfather, Indira Gandhi, and P.V. Narasimha Rao had tried to curb RSS activities, but none succeeded. “RSS has completed 100 years. We’ve been in power three times. 70% of India’s landmass accepts RSS ideology. Do what you want — the people will stand against you,” he warned.

Responding to media questions about RSS volunteers allegedly wielding sticks, Joshi clarified, “Lathi is a traditional form of exercise and a symbol of justice. Those who plant cooker bombs and roam with swords are called ‘brothers’ by Congress. If you have courage, go arrest them.”

On BK Hariprasad’s remark comparing RSS to the Taliban, Joshi mocked, “First check what position Hariprasad holds in Congress. He thinks abusing RSS will earn him a ministerial post. It’s pitiful. He once went to inspect Siddaramaiah’s underwear color — that’s his level.”

Joshi also slammed the recent DJ ban during Ganesh immersion in Bankapur. “Police denied permission under government pressure. Ganesh immersion was delayed by 45 days. Why ban DJs only during Hindu festivals? Why not stop loudspeaker noise from other communities in the morning and afternoon? Is this policy only for Hindus?” he asked.

He urged the government not to repeat such actions and to follow uniform rules across districts. “If DJs cause health issues, raise awareness. But banning them only during Hindu events is discriminatory. This mindset is anti-Hindu,” Joshi said, echoing growing public anger over the issue.
