Mysuru: Former MP Pratap Simha has leveled serious allegations against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son and MLC Dr. Yathindra, accusing him of controlling transfer-related corruption in the state.
Simha claimed that Mysuru police are under immense pressure due to political interference from the CM’s son, whom he described as a “present transfer minister.”
He alleged that every official transfer in the state happens only after paying a “tax” to Yathindra. “Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar are competing to see who can collect more money and send it to Rahul Gandhi,” Simha charged.
The former MP further alleged that Mysuru police now check the caste of an accused before making an arrest. “The police are afraid to raid illegal betting dens because they fear which minister or MLA might call them afterwards. The Home Minister, dreaming of becoming CM, has completely forgotten his department,” Simha remarked.
He urged CM Siddaramaiah to “stop his son’s involvement in transfer deals” and to instruct MLAs to end money collection practices. Simha also attacked the Congress government over its silence in the rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in Mysuru.
“Congress leaders who comment on the Russia-Ukraine war or Donald Trump have gone completely silent on this heinous crime. Have Priyank Kharge or Laxman Savadi said a word? Why are CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM DK Shivakumar quiet?” he asked.
“Mr. Siddaramaiah, what kind of leadership is this? What moral right do you have to continue as Chief Minister?” Simha thundered, demanding accountability and action from the government.
