Cabinet expansion in the state: The truth behind the cabinet expansion circus

Along with the festival of Navratri, the cabinet expansion has come to life again. When he went to Delhi, CM Basavaraj said that he would talk to the High Command and talk about cabinet expansion, and during the Bommai festival, he has put the aspirants to sleep in the election year. Ramesh Jarakiholi, Including the three vacancies due to K.S.Eshwarappa’s resignation and the death of Umesh Katthi, there are now a total of six vacancies to be filled.Out of these, K.S.Eshwarappa and Ramesh Jarakiholi need to be re-joined, so if there is an extension, it is expected that they will be minister again. Cabinet expansion in the state: The truth behind the cabinet expansion circus.

It is the strong desire of Eshwarappa and Ramesh Jarakiholi that they should face the next assembly elections as ministers. Eshwarappa, who put as much pressure as he could on the superiors for that and lost, finally absented himself from the assembly session and visited temples like Chamundi Betta and Mantralaya. Apart from that, even though he was in Bangalore and attended the party meetings at the BJP office, he did not step into the Assembly. Cabinet expansion in the state: The truth behind the cabinet expansion circus.

Marginal victory in the Belgaum Lok Sabha by-election and the defeat of the party’s official candidate in the Vidhan Parishad local bodies field has made it necessary for the BJP to give a ministerial position to Ramesh Jarakiholi.

Ramesh Jarakiholi himself is also telling the same thing to his superiors and is pressuring him to join the cabinet again. Now the vacuum created by the untimely death of Umesh Katti has once again created the necessity of Ramesh Jarakiholi to strengthen the BJP in Belgaum district.

In the meantime, the prospect of becoming the chairman of the Vidhan Parishad again in the BJP and the demand to make Basavaraj Horatti, an MLC who has joined the BJP, as a minister is in the chief minister’s mind. For that, the decision of the Cabinet meeting for the election of the Legislative Council Chairman, which was supposed to be held in this session, has also been put on hold.

The CM’s equation is that if Raghunath Rao Malakapure, who is the current caretaker chairman, is retained and made a minister, then the promise of status given at the time of joining the party will also be fulfilled. But Basavaraja, who is thinking about what to do as a minister for the last six months of this election year, has decided that it is better to hold the post of chairman instead of minister.

In the midst of all this, there is also a debate in the BJP that if Basavaraj goes for the post of Vidhan Parishad chairman and fills the quota of the ministerial position of the welfare Karnataka part by appointing Raghunath Rao Malakapure as a minister in the midst of all this, in the cabinet reshuffle.

But there is opposition to the attempt to make Horatti the chairman again. On the other hand, there is talk in the saffron corridor that ministers Prabhu Chauhan and Kota Srinivasa Pujari, whose party loyalty comes first in the BJP, may be made the first choice to be sent to work in the party if there is a restructuring.

According to the ruling party MLAs, who often act like opposition leaders against Swapa, if the cabinet is to be expanded, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, National Organizing General Secretary B.L. Santosh, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and State President Naleen Kumar Kateel should meet together. In the current situation, it is impossible for five people to come together. So, this time, even though the CM said that he will expand the cabinet, no one seems to be bothered!
