Yogi Adityanath Warns of Strict Action in Ram Mandir Donation Misuse Case

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has promised strict legal action against those accused of misusing Ram Mandir donation funds while urging political parties not to politicise the ongoing investigation.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued a strong warning against anyone found guilty of misusing donations made to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, stating that the government will not tolerate any breach of public faith. His remarks came after multiple arrests were made in connection with the alleged misuse of temple donation funds.

Speaking on the matter for the first time, the Chief Minister said that the Ram Mandir represents the faith and devotion of millions of devotees across the world. He stressed that donations offered by devotees are sacred and any attempt to misuse those funds would invite strict legal consequences.

The state government has already constituted a Special Investigation Team to probe the allegations. Based on the findings of the investigation so far, eight individuals have been arrested. Officials indicated that additional arrests could follow if further evidence emerges during the inquiry.

Yogi Adityanath also said that law enforcement agencies have been directed to take firm action against those responsible. He stated that, wherever necessary, authorities have been given the freedom to invoke stringent legal provisions, including the Gangsters Act and attachment of properties, if the investigation justifies such measures.

The Chief Minister assured devotees that both the state government and the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust remain committed to ensuring complete transparency and security in the management of temple donations. He added that stronger monitoring systems, along with technical and security audits, would be implemented to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Targeting the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, Yogi accused them of attempting to politicise the issue instead of cooperating with the investigation. He said that if any political party possesses credible evidence related to the case, it should submit it to the Special Investigation Team rather than making public allegations.

The Chief Minister also referred to the political history surrounding the Ram Mandir issue, alleging that parties which had earlier opposed the temple construction were now trying to exploit the donation controversy for political gain. He maintained that the investigation would proceed strictly according to law and that no guilty person would be spared.

The arrests reportedly include Ram Shankar Yadav, also known as Tinnu Yadav, who served as a key aide to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust General Secretary Champat Rai. Investigators believe the probe is still ongoing, with more developments expected in the coming days.
