Weather Report: Heavy rainfall alert in these states for next 2 days
Weather Report: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts, several regions are expected to experience rain and storms/thunderstorms for next 2 days until around November 6.
The forecast confirms that the weakening remnants of the low-pressure area (associated with the former Cyclone Montha) continue to cause cloudiness over states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the Northeast.
Simultaneously, a fresh Western Disturbance is the primary factor bringing rain and thunderstorms to the northwestern plains, including parts of Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan, as it affects the region around November 4th and 5th.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that there is a possibility of thundershowers and lightning in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. The IMD has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with strong thundershowers and lightning in Meghalaya, West Bengal and Assam.
Heavy rainfall is likely in many parts of Nagaland, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. Thunderstorms and light rain are likely in Telangana, Vidarbha, Maharashtra and Gujarat. It has also been advised to stay away from coastal areas.
