PM-Kisan Yojana: 7 Lakh farmers will not receive next installments
PM-Kisan Yojana: It’s concerning to hear that a significant number of farmers might not be receiving their Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan Yojana) installments. While the exact figure of 7 lakh people not receiving money in the latest installments might fluctuate, it’s a recurring issue often due to specific reasons.
Here are the primary reasons why eligible farmers might not receive their PM Kisan Yojana funds, and what they can do about it:

Common Reasons for Payment Failure:
Mandatory e-KYC Not Completed: This is currently one of the most critical reasons. The government has made e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) verification mandatory for all registered PM-Kisan beneficiaries. If a farmer has not completed their e-KYC, their installments will be halted.
How to do e-KYC:
Online (OTP-based): Visit the PM-Kisan portal (pmkisan.gov.in), go to ‘Farmers Corner,’ click on ‘eKYC,’ enter your Aadhaar number, and verify with the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Offline (Biometric-based): Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra (SSK) with your Aadhaar card for biometric verification.
Face Authentication: Use the PM-Kisan Mobile App and Aadhaar Face RD app to complete e-KYC via face scan.
Aadhaar-Bank Account Linkage Issues: The funds are transferred directly to Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). If a farmer’s Aadhaar is not linked to their bank account, or if the bank account itself is not linked for DBT, the payment will fail.
What to do: Visit your bank branch, or check your bank’s online services to ensure your Aadhaar is linked and DBT is enabled for your account.

Incorrect Bank Account Details: Errors in the IFSC code, account number, or if the account is closed or frozen, can lead to payment failures.
What to do: Verify your bank details on the PM-Kisan portal or at your bank.
Land Seeding/Verification Issues: The land records associated with the farmer’s registration must be verified and updated on the PM-Kisan portal. Discrepancies or unverified land records can lead to exclusion.
What to do: Contact your local agricultural department or Tehsildar office to ensure your land records are accurate and verified.
Falling Under Exclusion Categories: The scheme has specific exclusion criteria. Farmers will not receive payments if:
They are income tax payees.
They are institutional landholders.
They are serving or retired officers/employees of Central/State government, PSUs, or government autonomous bodies (excluding Class IV/Multi Tasking Staff).
They hold constitutional posts (e.g., former or present MPs, MLAs, Mayors).
They are professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, CAs, architects.
They are retired pensioners receiving a monthly pension of Rs 10,000 or more.
More than one member of the family (husband, wife, minor children) is registered (only one per family is eligible).
Name Mismatch: Discrepancies in the spelling of the farmer’s name between their Aadhaar, bank account, and land records can cause issues.
Technical Glitches: Sometimes, even with all details correct, technical issues in the payment system can cause delays.
