Karnataka Heavy Rain Alert: IMD issued yellow alert in these districts

Rainfall in the state due to the influence of the wind blowing from the north-west along with the decrease in air pressure in the Bay of Bengal. It will rain in some parts of the interior including coastal districts like Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada.

The weather department has forecast that rain will continue in the state for the next few days. It is raining in coastal, mountainous and inland regions including the state capital Bengaluru. Karnataka Heavy Rain Alert: IMD issued yellow alert in these districts.

In the next 24 hours, the speed of the storm will be in the range of 30-40 kmph. In addition, the storm will blow at a speed of 55 km per hour on the coastal Karnataka. Therefore, fishermen are advised not to go into the sea. Tourists are warned to stay safe.

Bengaluru city is usually sunny in the morning and cloudy in the afternoon. Chance of light rain in evening or night. Sometimes there will be a strong ground wind. Southwest Monsoon intensified along the coastal district on Friday. It was weakened in the northern hinterland, while it was normal in the southern hinterland.

Rainfall in Sulya, Bhagamandal, Ponnampet received 4 cm each and Siddapur, Kundapur, Kollur, Puttur, Kammaradi, Napoklu received 3 cm each. Weather department informed that 2 cm rain each in Ankola, Gearsoppa, Kadra, Mani, Belthangadi, Mangaluru Airport, Panambur, Karkala, Karwar, Khajuri, Linganamakki HMS, Sringeri.

Manchikere, Gokarna, Kumata, Zoida, Honavara, Mangaluru, Dharmasthala Uppinangadi including Londa, Kamalapura, NRpura, Koppa, Jayapura, Kottigehara, Madikere Somwarpet, Sakaleshpura, Talaguppa received 1 cm rain each.
