India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train to travel in Karnataka

Vande Bharat Sleeper train: That’s great news for railway passengers in Karnataka! India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper train was unveiled by the Railway Minister in Bengaluru at the BEML facility, which manufactured it.

The first Vande Bharat Sleeper train for Karnataka was announced to run between Bengaluru and Belagavi, with services initially anticipated to start around late 2024 or early 2025.

The national launch of Vande Bharat Sleeper services is often mentioned as being dependent on the readiness of the second trainset, with routes like Delhi-Patna being considered for the initial commercial service.

While the exact operational launch date of the commercial service in Karnataka might vary based on final trials and deployment schedules, the news is indeed very positive as the manufacturing and prototype unveiling took place in the state, and a key route for its service has been announced.
