IMD Issued Heavy Rainfall alert in 12 states for next 4 days
IMD Issued Heavy Rainfall: According to recent reports and forecasts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several states across India are on high alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over the coming days. The monsoon is particularly active in various regions, and a low-pressure system is expected to intensify, leading to widespread and intense downpours.
Uttarakhand: Heavy rainfall is indeed expected in isolated places on September 8th, 12th, and 13th. The forecast indicates that a low-pressure system is likely to bring intense showers to the state, with a heightened risk of thunderstorms. This could lead to a possibility of landslides and disruption of normal life, especially in the hilly regions.

Western Uttar Pradesh: The forecast also indicates that many places in western Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive heavy rainfall on September 12th and 13th. The rainfall is expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms.

These areas are at high risk of receiving over 20 cm of rain in a 24-hour period, which could lead to significant disruption, including landslides and flooding.
States Under Orange Alert:

Punjab
Haryana
West Rajasthan
Telangana
Maharashtra (including Konkan and Goa)
Coastal Andhra Pradesh
These states are expected to experience very heavy rainfall, which may cause waterlogging and other related issues.

Eastern and Southern India: A low-pressure system is forming over the northwest Bay of Bengal and is expected to bring heavy rain to coastal Andhra Pradesh, south Chhattisgarh, south Odisha, Telangana, and south interior Karnataka.
Northeast India: States like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh are likely to see continuous rain and thunderstorms throughout the week.
Southern India: Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka are also expected to receive isolated heavy rainfall.
