Notably, the prices of the yellow metal have been fluctuating in recent times, especially due to geopolitical concerns. Over the past 20 years, According to data trends, gold prices have risen significantly by nearly 1,200 percent from Rs 7,638 in 2005 to over Rs 1,00,000 in 2025 (till June).
The yellow metal is on a six-month winning streak, a historic feat last seen in May 2002, reported Axis Securities. In June 2025, gold prices rose by 3 percent. If gold prices end the month in the positive, it would mark six consecutive months of growth – a feat that has only happened 13 times in the last 75 years.

Prices were lower today, June 19, 2025, at 7:15 am. According to the official website, the MCX gold index was at Rs 99,096. Meanwhile, the data showed that the MCX silver price was Rs 1,06,275/kg.
Moreover, as per the Indian Bullion Association (IBA) data at 7:15 am on June 19, the price of 24-carat gold was Rs 99,300/10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold was Rs 91,025/10 grams. According to the IBA website, today’s silver price is Rs 1,06,770 per kg (silver 999 fine).
