Centre Increases LPG Supply To States By 20 Percent To Avoid Shortage
Amid rising gas demand and global tensions affecting supply chains, the central government has increased commercial LPG supply to states by 20 percent to support hotels restaurants and small businesses.

The central government has decided to increase the supply of commercial LPG to states by 20 percent in order to prevent any shortage in the market. The decision was taken in response to growing concerns about gas availability as demand continues to rise across the country.
Officials said the move aims to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply particularly for hotels restaurants and small business establishments that depend heavily on commercial gas cylinders for their daily operations. Authorities have been instructed to closely monitor supply and distribution so that business activities are not affected.
According to the petroleum ministry the recent global situation including tensions in the Middle East and disruptions in supply chains has created uncertainty around fuel availability. At the same time domestic consumption of LPG has also increased significantly which raised concerns about possible shortages in several regions.
To address the situation the centre has written to all state governments asking them to ensure smooth distribution of commercial LPG cylinders. Special attention has been directed toward urban areas where restaurants hotels and roadside eateries rely heavily on regular gas supply.
In addition to boosting LPG supply the government has also planned a welfare measure for migrant workers. Officials revealed that a proposal is being prepared to provide free five kilogram LPG cylinders to migrant labourers across the country. The initiative is expected to reduce the financial burden of cooking fuel for low income families.
Authorities believe that increasing LPG supply will help stabilize the market and prevent any disruption to businesses. The decision is also expected to ease pressure on prices while ensuring that commercial establishments continue to function without interruption.
