Karnataka is all set for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’. The flag will fly in one crore homes. From August 13 to 15, the flag will be hoisted in every house for three days. 50 lakh flags will be supplied by the Department of Kannada and Culture. On the instructions of the Centre, a tender has been given to Grasim Company to manufacture and supply the required flags for this department. The remaining 50 lakh flags will be supplied by the Rural Development Department, Textile and Village Industries Department, Sthree Shakti Sanghs, various government and private organizations.

Other organizations and public in Karnataka are also involved in the preparation, supply and sale of flags. The Department of Kannada and Culture has informed through a circular to open sales centers in all districts so that flags can be easily purchased by the public. The education department has informed through a circular to carry out flag hoisting in all government and private offices, schools and colleges.

Where are the flags sold?

It has been suggested to allow sale at Nyaya Price Shops, Gram Panchayat Office, Anganwadi Centers, Government School – College premises etc. Flags will also be sold during the Lalbagh Phala Puspa display.
