Union minister gets threat call from Dawood Ibrahim’s gang

Nagpur: The threats calls were made at 11:29 am, 11:35 am and 12:32 pm at his public relations office in Nagpur. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has reportedly received death threats at his public relations office in Nagpur on Saturday. His office received three threatening calls, in which the caller threatened to kill Gadkari and demanded extortion money. Union minister get threat call from Dawood Ibrahim’s gang.

The caller reportedly mentioned the name “Dawood” (referring to Dawood Ibrahim) during the calls. The threats calls were made at 11:29 am, 11:35 am and 12:32 pm. The police and senior officials have reached Gadkari’s office and are investigating the matter. Gadkari is currently in Nagpur and is reportedly safe.

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari’s Nagpur office has received two death threat calls since morning. According to sources, an unknown person called the union minister’s office’s landline number twice and threatened to kill him.The person also threatened to blow up the office on the phone. The employees of the office informed the police soon after.

Sources said Gadkari’s office received two consecutive calls between 11:30 am and 11:40 am and a complaint had been registered with the nearest police station on behalf of Nitin Gadkari’s Public Relations Office at Khamla in Nagpur Chowk, which is about 1 kilometer from the union minister’s house.

Later, Nagpur Police and Nitin Gadkari’s office confirmed the development.Police have started investigating the matter and are currently speaking to the employees of the minister’s office. Subsequently, security at Gadkari’s residence has also been beefed up.
