BJP National Meeting: Party Extends President JP Nadda term till June 2024

The tenure of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda has been extended till June next year, BJP leader and Union minister Amit Shah announced on Tuesday. BJP National Meeting: Party Extends President JP Nadda term till June 2024.

It was speculated ahead of the National Executive meeting of BJP that Nadda, whose three-year term as the party chief (after he succeeded Amit Shah) is scheduled to conclude on 20 January this year, would get another term as the party president in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

Meanwhile, with the BJP holding its National Executive meeting in the national capital, party chiefs of four poll-bound states presented the ground report before the top leadership on Monday. Nadda on Monday said that the party has to win all nine state elections this year and then general elections in 2024.

GDP in the country has been rising, said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on day 2 of BJP’s national executive meeting. The BJP leader said that the country’s GST collection has also increased and that India has left UK behind UK to stand at the fifth place in terms of economy globally.

The tax collection has increased by 22.6 per cent in comparison with previous years, he added. “In the last 8 and a half years, under the leadership of PM, our resolve to create an inclusive and all-touching society was a philosophy for us,” the Union education minister said, adding “our motto is service, and dedication.”

He said that the government formulated policies to disburse five kilograms of rice and cereals so that no one remained hungry during the pandemic. 219 doses of Covid-19 have been administered in the country 30 crore doses have been exported, he added.
