RSS route march concludes peacefully under tight police security
Chittapur: The much-debated and widely discussed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) route march, which had drawn statewide attention over the past month, concluded peacefully on Sunday under an extensive security blanket. Held in the home constituency of IT and BT Minister Priyank Kharge, the march drew significant public curiosity and turnout.
As per the conditional permission granted by the district administration, only 300 uniformed RSS members and 50 band players were allowed to participate. Police strictly enforced the order, preventing unlisted uniformed participants from joining the march. Youths chanting slogans were also regulated and instructed to remain behind the main procession to maintain order.
The march began from the Bajaj Kalyan Mantap, where thousands of residents had gathered along both sides of the road to witness the event.
Women, elders and local residents showered flower petals on the uniformed participants as a mark of respect. Patriotic chants such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” “Jai Shri Ram,” and “Jai Bhavani Jai Shivaji” echoed through the streets, creating an atmosphere charged with nationalism.
The police department deployed a heavy security contingent throughout the route, supported by drone surveillance and personnel stationed at all key points. The joint efforts of the district administration and the police ensured that the march proceeded smoothly without any untoward incidents.
The RSS march, which lasted around 45 minutes, eventually returned to Bajaj Kalyan Mantap where it concluded peacefully. With massive public participation, strict adherence to conditions and a calm atmosphere, this year’s Chittapur RSS route march ended successfully, marking another chapter in the organisation’s high-profile activities in the region.
