Karnataka heavy rainfall warning till October 29 in these 7 districts
Karnataka Heavy Rainfall Warning: Bengaluru began receiving moderate to light rain on Wednesday morning, with showers expected to intensify over the next few days. Widespread rain activity is generally forecast across the state until October 29.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that widespread rains are likely across Karnataka till October 29 due to the formation of a low pressure area in the Arabian Sea. The monsoon will continue on the coastal districts.
The India Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in the southern interior, northern interior, coastal and ghat areas including Bangalore. Bengaluru is receiving light rain since this morning. Moderate rain with wind is forecast for tomorrow.

There is an 86 percent chance of rain, and the wind speed will be 11-20 km per hour. IMD has said that the maximum temperature in the city will be recorded at 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 20 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has issued an Orange Alert for several districts, primarily those in Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, indicating the likelihood of very heavy rainfall.

Uttara Kannada (expected to receive very heavy rain on October 22 and 23)11
South Interior Karnataka (SIK):
Kodagu
Chikkamagaluru
Shivamogga
Hassan
Chamarajanagar
Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Ramanagara are also part of the SIK sub-division and may experience intense rainfall. The India Meteorological Department has announced that there will be an orange alert in the southern interior districts of Chikkamagaluru, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar and Hassan.
There will be light rain in Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara and Tumkur. There will be light rain in the northern interior districts of Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur and Yadgir. Cloudy weather or drizzle is expected in Bellary and Vijayanagar.
Thunderstorm-prone districts like Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga are expected to receive good rainfall in the evening.
Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall, and an orange alert has been declared. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea as a precautionary measure as the wind speed along with the rain is likely to reach 35-45 kmph. Uttara Kannada district is also likely to receive moderate rainfall.
