Heavy to Very Heavy Rain is highly likely at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts for the next three days (July 19, 20, and 21). Extremely very heavy rain was also likely in Dakshina Kannada on July 18th. Strong surface winds (30-40 kmph) are also expected.

Moderate rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is likely at many places over Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, and Gadag districts on July 20th. Heavy rain with sustained wind (40-50 kmph) is likely at one or two places over Kalburgi, Belagavi, Yadgir, and Vijayapura districts on July 21st and 22nd. Strong surface winds are also expected on July 19th and 20th.
Very Heavy Rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is likely at a few places over Shivamogga and Chikkamagaluru districts. Heavy rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is likely at one or two places over Mysuru, Hassan, Chamarajanagara, Ballari, Davanagere, and Vijayanagara districts.
Moderate rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is likely at most places over Tumakuru, Bengaluru (Rural), Bengaluru (Urban), Chikkaballapura, Kolar, and Ramanagara districts. Light to moderate rain with sustained wind (30-40 kmph) is expected at most places over Chitradurga and Mandya districts.

Bengaluru (Urban and Rural) is expected to receive moderate rain with sustained winds in the coming days. Some forecasts also indicate patchy rain and light to moderate showers until July 22nd.

Residents in affected areas, particularly coastal and hilly regions, are advised to stay vigilant, carry umbrellas and raincoats, and exercise caution on wet roads. There have been reports of school closures in districts like Udupi and Kodagu due to heavy rainfall and red alerts.
