Iran-Israel conflict: CBSE postponed class 10, class 12 board exams
Iran-Israel conflict: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, March 2, 2026, across several countries in the Middle East.
The board issued an official circular today (March 1) citing the volatile security situation following the deaths of high-ranking Iranian officials in joint US-Israeli strikes, which has triggered retaliatory missile exchanges and the closure of regional airspaces.
Exams are postponed in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Only the exams scheduled for March 2 are currently deferred. The CBSE will review the situation on Tuesday, March 3, to decide whether examinations scheduled from March 5 onwards will proceed as planned.
New dates for the postponed subjects will be announced through official channels at a later time. Monitor the official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in) and official social media handles.
Reach out to your local school administration, as they will be the primary link for center-specific updates and safety instructions. The board has already warned against fake circulars circulating on social media; only rely on notifications signed by the Controller of Examinations.
