Dasara School holiday postponed? Here is last movement update

Teacher Union had written letter to Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the Education Minister for extend Dasara holiday till November 1.

The Dasara festival has to end in the state. People of the country are ready for Vijayadashami celebration today by celebrating Ayudha Puja. Also, all the schools of the state will be opened tomorrow after completing the Dasara holiday today. Meanwhile, there is confusion among many whether the Dasara holiday will be postponed or not. Yes, amid the excitement of Dasara festival, holiday is also in the news now.

A few days ago, the teachers had written to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the Education Minister, alleging that the Dasara holiday period had been shortened, and this was a statewide news. Some supported it, while others opposed it. By the way, the teacher who wrote the letter also highlighted some points. After all, it’s the Dasara festival is on the 24th but the school will open on next day October 25th.

How can children come to school in one day? The school starts the next day after the Dasara festival and it becomes stressful for the children. Children have gone to the festival. For that reason, teachers of the Karnataka Government Rural Primary School Teachers’ Association had written a letter to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister and the Education Minister to extend the Dussehra holiday. But the government did not give any response on this.

Meanwhile, another request has come to the government after this. Yes, Karnataka State STMC Coordinating Committee President Moidin Kutty has urged the state government to resume school classes immediately without postponing the Dasara holiday for any reason. According to the Right to Compulsory Education Act, there should be at least 800 hours of teaching for junior primary schools and 1000 hours for upper primary schools.

But in this academic year, the learning hours are already less, apart from the one-day unauthorized absence of government employees, monsoon vacations, along with this, many teachers are out of school in the name of talent program, sports programs. Therefore, they requested the Chief Minister and the Education Minister to open the school from October 25th to provide quality education to the children and allow the children to learn according to the Right to Compulsory Education Act.

Even though the government has been appealed to from both ways, but neither the government nor the education department has not received any kind of response. Therefore, schools will start as usual from October 25.
