CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to begin the 2026 board exams for Classes 10 and 12 on February 17, 2026. While the detailed datesheet has been available since late 2025, the release of admit cards is the next major milestone for students.
CBSE Admit Card 2026 Status Update:
As of late January 2026, the admit cards for private candidates are already available for download. For regular students, the cards are expected to be released to schools by the first week of February 2026.
Important Exam Dates (Revised):
Due to administrative reasons, a few papers were rescheduled in December. Ensure you are following the Revised Datesheet:
Class 10 (Secondary): February 17 to March 11, 2026.
Class 12 (Senior Secondary): February 17 to April 10, 2026.
Practical Exams: Ongoing (must conclude by February 15, 2026).
How to Access Your Admit Card:
The process differs depending on whether you are a regular school-going student or a private candidate:
For Regular Students:
You cannot download the admit card yourself from the public portal.
School authorities use the Pariksha Sangam portal to download bulk admit cards.
Action: Contact your school office. You must collect a physical copy that is signed by the Principal and carries the official school stamp. Without the Principal’s signature, the admit card is invalid for entry.
For Private Candidates (Step-by-Step):
Visit the official website: cbse.gov.in.
Click on the “Main Website” or look for the “Admit Card for Private Candidates 2026” link.
Choose your search criteria: Application No., Previous Roll No. and Year, or Candidate Name.
Enter the required details and click “Proceed”.
Download the PDF and take a color printout.
Vital Details to Check:
Once you have your hall ticket, meticulously verify these details. If you find any errors, report them to your school or regional office immediately:

Subject Codes: Ensure the subjects listed match your chosen stream/elective.
Exam Centre: Check the name and address of your assigned center to plan your commute.
