The court refused to grant bail

Dhanushka Gunathilaka was arrested from the Sussex Street Hotel in Sydney after the woman made the allegation. After his arrest, he appeared in a Sydney court via video conference. It was expected that the bail would be granted here but then the court refused to grant him bail.

Stayed in jail for 11 days

However, Gunathilaka, who spent 11 days in jail, is now out on bail. He was granted bail by a local court in Sydney. This news will bring some comfort to him and his family. Because according to Australian law, if the allegations were proven true, they would have been sentenced to life imprisonment. Gunatilaka got bail. However, Rs.1 crore . He has to pay the amount in the form of deposit to the court. Various conditions have also been imposed, including not using Tinder or any other dating apps.

What was in the victim’s complaint?

According to the complaint filed by the woman accused of rape, Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanushka Gunathilaka and I met each other on Tinder app. After that the two met for dating. Gunathilaka refused to wear a condom during sex. He also mentioned that when I forced him to wear a condom, he gripped my neck three times and tried to choke me.
