An official said that on April 4, Kumar, who works in housekeeping at a private hospital, allegedly exposed his privates to a woman and touched her with them while riding in an elevator with her at the Jasola Metro Station. Giving details, the official said the woman, an architect by profession, objected to the man’s obscene gesture and threatened to call for help, following which the accused ran away without boarding the metro train.

The accused, identified as Manav Aggarwal, a resident of Kotla Mubarakpur, had fled to Nepal after the incident and had applied for anticipatory bail.

Police at the time said the incident came to the fore after woman narrated her ordeal on Twitter, wherein she said that the accused thrust his genitals into her face after he approached her under the pretext of locating an address.
